“I joined this team with a burning desire to help my peers and colleagues feel something they've never felt about fundraising and the "stuff" it takes to win.”
When you’re a development professional, you spend a lot of time chatting in the car. So it’s a good thing Scott loves driving long distances. “I love windshield time for thinking and conversations.” He brings decades of fundraising experience to Crouch & Associates, along with a burning desire to help peers and colleagues change the way they think, hear, and feel about their work. Or ask his four young children—who he shares with his wife Melissa—what he does and they’ll re-enact a skit using “Fundraiser Barbie,” “Donor Ken,” Monopoly money, and a tea party of stuffed animals.
An entrepreneur since the age of 12—when a real estate firm would pay him to cut grass at vacant houses—Scott has honed his fundraising skills over the past 20 years at a host of non-profits, universities, and faith-based organizations. He earned his undergraduate degree from Mercyhurst University—where he’s now president of the school's alumni association and a trustee—and a master’s degree from Robert Morris University. Stop by his hometown of Pittsburgh, and you’ll find him (on a very lucky day) in a seat on the third base line at PNC Park, home of the Pirates, preferably next to one of his sons.
