Wanda Urbanska

              Wanda Urbanska

"I've always believed that a moment of deep connection between two people can change the world."

Wanda's engaging, people-centric presence comes to her naturally. A graduate of Harvard University with a degree in English and American Literature, Wanda is a veteran journalist, editor and blogger and author of nine books. She brings decades of nonprofit experience to the table having developed from the ground up, Simple Living with Wanda Urbanska, America's first public TV series advocating sustainable living, which ran for four seasons from 2004 to 2008, reaching 75 percent of US TV households.

Among her other accomplishments, Wanda led the Presidential Medal of Freedom campaign for Jan Karski, which was conferred posthumously on the Polish hero from World War II by President Obama in 2012 and also created sister foundations in Karski's name in the US and Poland.

When not at her keyboard, she's happiest swimming laps at the pool, working her raised bed garden in Raleigh, NC or spending time with friends and family.
